It rained torrentially that morning, and the river swelled several feet by the time we were supposed to start our 6 hour canoe ride back. Lucky for all of us, the rain broke and we had skillful boatsmen. This is a few moments before we left this magical place.

The rains created new waterfalls, which raged out of the tepuis. At one point we could see nearly 20 waterfalls at once, most of which we hadn’t noticed the day before.
